Dissertations are just designed to drag your ego down.
I'm so sleepy! All the time!!! What's up with that, you guys?
I missed Christmas Karaoke last night because I fell asleep watching Raiders of the Lost Arc.
I didn't blog last week properly because I think I was going out so didn't have time to do a proper one. My sister's just gone on holiday with her boyfriend and my Mum's just gone back to work this morning so I'm pretty bored. Do people want to come over and watch a film or something? Anything to distract me from this stupid excuse for working on my dissertation. I'm gonna put it up on kittens.
Lily skyped last night and actually managed to stay online for more than 20 minutes so that was pretty rad. She's spending today experimenting with rhubarb jam and actually getting payed to do it. When she told me that I was so so jealous. Tomorrow she's going to Stockholm.
The last few days have had a pretty steady routine: wake up, coffee and lie down, go for a walk, come home and work on the dissertation, endless cups of tea and then sleep.
Actually, the other day me Cath and Will went to see the new Batman.
I've got to say guys, I thought it was kind of shit. Maybe I'm growing cynical, and I'll have to go back and watch Dark Knight before I can make a real judgement but to me it was just really stupid and predictable, the characters didn't make sense, all the morals which were set up from the last two films were ripped apart.
When I left the cinema I was like 'well, at least Bane was cool' but the more I think about it the less sense it all made, -SPOILERS - like he was just a henchman and that woman thought of everything for him so I'm left thinking what was so great about him apart from the voice.
Still, it was fun watching Christian Bale have the shit beaten out of him over and over again.
I'm sorry you guys, I know that a lot of people will disagree with me but I just can't be convinced. one good thing has come of it, I've been inspired to go back and read some batman comics and they never fail to disappoint.
Anyway, must dash. I'm hungry.

I'M TWENTY, YO!
So, yay!
I missed last week so I'll attempt a double week update, but I've kinda forgotten who I am.
No work Thursday, Oonagh came up with Verity. We had meal.
Drank in the eve? I don't remember. We sleep in Dickie's bed.
Friday, no work. Also, BIRTHDAY.
Rosie, Josh and Oli made me pancakes.
Picnic with them + Oonagh and Sags. Then climbed Arthur's Seat, collected Chris, Sam, Tom, Jon, Cath, Emma and Emma. Ate lots, drank lots, friends came over, hit the Hive hard. Etc..

Saturday, saw phenomenal play Just a Gigilo plus a free ukulele show in the eve. Drank in the mojito bar where I received a lap dance from Tom and we dominated the dance floor with our sexy dino-moves.
Sunday we got a Will. Some people went to the zoo, I did some work.
We drank lots in the evening, some of us went to see The Room.
Don't even remember.
Monday I had work. We did things after.
Tuesday everyone left me.
Don't remember the rest of the week.
Just, work and drinking. Always work and drinking.
Friday my mum came up. Got hammered with me and my flatmates. We played tarot card ring of fire then got free mojitos, much fun.
Saturday we saw Angela Barnes, Matt Richardson and Mark Thomas, had an impromptu foam party in the kitchen and played more ring of fire.
Sunday me and my mum hit the art galleries then saw Tubular Bells and Mark Watson's Edinborolympics feat Tim Fitzhigham, Lloyd Langford and Sammy J, both fantastic.
DEFINITELY saw Mr Defter at Tubular Bells.
Monday I went to Aberfoyle to hang with Pete's family.
Got very drunk with his insane cousins, one who just got engaged so we had an impromptu ceilidh in the garden.
Tuesday had lunch in Glasgow with Pete's lot then came home, then hung out at Charlotte's with Canadian Jonathon and Maz.
Today, went to Roslin with Charlotte and Oli, then came back to welcome Sarah home.
Currently in bed to recoop energy before heading to a ceilidh then props Hive.

Thanks for the reminder Matt :)
I'm sorry last week's blog was so very poor. I was in Edinburgh and was busy getting drunk.
Today has been awesome. We had a barbecue at my house and the weather was so hot and it was delightful. My house is now stupidly hot and I don't thihnk I will be able to get to sleep.
Earlier in the week Kate, Matt, Kerry, Tom and I went for a walk in the countryside and it was delightful. We saw stripy cows and got stung by stinging nettles.
I kind of achieved my blogging goal a few weeks ago. I was attempting to write a proper blog a week for a whole year. I pretty much managed it. I did a couple of very short ones and posted a few just after midnight but other than that I pretty much got there. For the rest of the summer now my blogs may get shorter and crappier.
I seem to be going through a bit of an obsession of books with the word 'game' in the title. I just finished the second Hunger Games and have moved on to Ender's Game, lined up on my bookshelf I have A Game Of Thrones ready to go. Any suggestions of game related books I should read after that?
The stars at my house are super bright tonight. I sat outside for a while early with my camera to try and get pictures but didn't have a tripod so they all came out shitty.
I think that is all really. Night.

Miranda's week of being sociable
So, just found out that Graham who I work with on a Sunday has left the bakery and they don't need me anymore to work the market. Pretty gutted. I'm going to miss Graham. Planning on getting really drunk tonight to drown my sorrows haha.
I decided this week that I was going to make more of an effort to see people. I think it was a success. I saw Chris, Harry and Tom's house for the first time on Tuesday. It's nice, I like the bedrooms, and the high ceilings. Also, Cath and I went to Jon Keating's house on Tuesday, it was good to see him.
Saw Catie and some of her lot on Wednesday, also going out with those guys tonight because Rich Ferris is moving to Devon or somewhere like that.
Pub last night was nice, I had a lovely phone call with Juliet. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (I know it was yesterday but OH WELL)
Wish I was in Edinburgh right now.
Don't know what else to say, still feeling pretty down about the market.

Yo yo yo one four eight three to the three to the six to the nine, representing the ABQ, what up BI-A-TCH?
So big news, I'm coming home.
That's about all that's happened the last couple of weeks, I've gotten more and more bored of not seeing you guys, worse and worse at my job and have been coming around to the idea that living in the flat you're paying for isn't nearly as enjoyable as seeing everybody you love on demand when the sun is out.
So yeah, I'm feeling pretty pumped.
Apparently that's a picture from Swindon, but I don't recognise it.
Ah, that's better.
There's the dystopia I know and love.
David, I hope you had a bad-ass birthday at choir camp with your bad-ass singing buddies. I hope you all got really drunk and couldn't sing the next morning but didn't care because you had such a bad-ass birthday.
Juliet, your life sounds much like mine except more scientific. Today I've played Hitman, cleaned my room and kitchen, drunk three bottles of cider and that's it.
I was just struggling to think of things to write about when I heard some guitar twiddling down the road. The pub a few doors down just had this afternoon jazz jamming session, there were loads of these old Cornish men sitting at the bar with their jaws on the floor while this 14 year old played the piano like his fingers were on fire. Plus, I just found my new favourite ale.
We should get drunk soon.
SO EXCITED!

MY BLOG DAY.
Just exhausted most of my writing energy writing a letter to Pete.
The fat man is still in Amehricuh.
So. No work today, as I'm waiting for some glass to arrive and cannot cut my spinal cord sections without it.
Instead 'worked from home', ahem.
Have yet to do the working part of that, but it's sure to happen within the next few hours or so.
Spent last weekend in the lake district with Onag, and family. Did walks n shit.
Was so lovely. Surprised I didn't double in weight thanks to Eilish and her perpetual need to feed me.
Didn't make it into work on Monday due to staying up all night on Sunday with the Assembly street team. But went in very early on Tuesday to atone. Ended up finishing all my work within a few hours so spent the afternoon drinking in the meadows with Sags and Gav, then went out with Oli and friends for a wee bit.
Felt SO DAMN SLEEPY I HATED MYSELF. Went home before midnight. Don't even understand. Work has made me a sad old housewife.
Spent HOURS tidying today. The flat is stunning, like best it's ever looked.
And then as soon as I finished I baked a huge lasagne.
All I want to do is cook and tidy. And drink. I've been on the rum for a few hours.
Booked a birthday holiday to Amsterdam.
Because, holyshitballs - it's my birthday on Friday.
Next week I shall be speaking to you from within my second decade on this planet.
I can tell you're as excited as I am.
Currently listening to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.
It's Cath's fault, I swear.
I need more rum.

I watched Ted this week. It was disappointingly average. It was very very Seth Macfarlane and all the pop culture references got a bit boring after a while.
Yesterday I played cricket. We lost but it was a fun game. We played at Wiltshire's home ground and it is seriously fancy. There were loads of people there watching too because they have a really nice bar there, it felt like it was some big important match. I bruised my hand real bad and I don't know how.
I have watched so much Olympics this week. There have been loads of stories about people who have only been doing a sport for a short time managing to compete in the Olympics. Watching them inspired me to start running a bit this week, turns out I definitely couldn't be one of those people in the Olympics, I am horribly unfit.
I really want to get kittens but my dad is dead set against the idea and I'm not sure why. It would be the best.
David, how come you're so old now? It sucked I didn't see you on your birthday but I am sure you were having a great time singing instead. Let's get drunk soon though.
I haven't really seen many people this week, I have no idea why. Let's do stuff this week.

So my week has been quite boring.
Felt quite ill Monday - Wednesday, but still went to work for some reason. Not sure what was wrong, but I lost my appetite and everytime I ate I felt sick and got stomach cramps, and I was all achey and sleepy. My stepmum thought I had become anorexic haha.
Work went slow this week, I was so happy when it got to Friday.
Watched quite a bit of the Olympics, I think my favourite ones to watch are swimming and cycling. Though its really easy to get into any of the sports, we caught one of the GB basketball matches and that was good. Gymnastics is pretty awesome to watch, I don't know how they do it.
I went to the big screen on Wednesday with my team from work and we played netball and I won and got a medal! That was cool.
Not much else has happened.
I plan on being more sociable in the near future, haven't seen people properly in ages.
Sorry for not being interesting :)

Spent last Wednesday in the meadows.
Drank half a bottle of gin and was hence incapacitated.
Turned up at work on Thursday all dead and my boss felt sympathy and let me go home.
Rang Josh and shared my ills and misery with him which was nice.
Can't remember much of my life recently.
I think it's been nice?
Spent the weekend in Cardiff for the sisters birthday. Long train journeys, very sleepy.
Sleepy all the time. Don't wanna be a grown-up.
And so, to you all I propose a question.
Man falls asleep next to you on the bus.
He has window seat, you have aisle. You've got about three more stops till you get off.
What do you do?
(Scenario based on real life situation.)
UPDIZZLE
I remember now I did lots.
There was ice-cream and Batman with Pete and I kept laughing in the film because WHERE'S THERE TRIGGER WHERE'S THE TRIGGER WHERE'S THE TRIGGER?
There was tapas with Pete, Suzannah and John.
Lots and lots of card games with Charlotte, Morag and Scott.
Walked to Duddingston with Pete, Charlotte, Gavin and the dog (which is currently living at Pete's flat)
Watched Olympic opening ceremony with Amanda, Pete and Charlotte.
In the Cardizzle we walked round the bay and had a tour of the Welsh Assembly and then went to Barry Island and I won a dinosaur and a dolphin keyring on the penny falls and then we spent Sunday in my dad's hotel and went swim swim in the spa.
Went to Assembly gardens - where Oli is working - and had lots of drinks then went to Doctors for more drinks.
Oli is back, and Rosie and Josh have also moved in for the summer.
Which means when I have six people up for my birthday, plus Oli, Rosie, Josh, Richard and four of Oli's friends our flat is gonna be ridiculous.
Although I have Pete's keys whilst he's in America so some can camp out there, and Charlotte has tons of space, and I may be able to wrangle some room in Amanda's.
So yeah. My life is a little more exciting then I remembered.
